What is "File Share" and how does it work?

File Share is one of the storage available on WEkEO. It is assessed in a different way than attaching a physical volume or accessing a bucket via the S3 interface. For this purpose, the NFS network is used (on WEkEO the "Storage NFS" network). Each instance that has access to this network can access the File Share created in it and if its address is included in the rules of access to the given File Share.

In practice for example, it looks like a 250 GB "volume" that can be mounted to any instance if it is attached to the NFS network and has the appropriate rule.

Consider creating File Share if you want your resources to be available in one place using NFS.

However, If you plan to store a large amount of objects, we recommend using a bucket.
