On the 12th and 13th June 2019, WEkEO representatives attended the first Copernicus Eyes on Earth Roadshow that took place in Darmstadt (Germany) at EUMETSAT headquarters.

This event was the first of a series of five roadshows that will take place in EU Member States between 2019 and 2020. The aim of these events is to promote the use of Copernicus data and its applications.

At Copernicus Eyes on Earth Roadshows, general audiences can learn about Earth Observation and understand how the Copernicus Programme helps to protect the Earth’s environment. Participants can also be informed about business opportunities in the geospatial industry. For audiences already involved in the Earth Observation sector, Copernicus Eyes on Earth Roadshows give them the opportunity to share their knowledge with other space data professionals and meet with experts in Copernicus related-areas. In this event there were several expo areas, business presentations, networking sessions and business cases masterclasses. WEkEO had a stand where participants could see demos on how to use WEkEO and ask questions about the DIAS.

More information and registration for future Copernicus Eyes on Earth Roadshows can be found in the following links. The second event will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands (24-25 September 2019) and the third roadshow will be in Tallinn, Estonia (3-4 October 2019).
